From a financial perspective, 2005/2006 was the most successful year yet for the DLSS. We recorded a significant profit of almost $25, 000, without diminishing the quality of our services and events. This was possible as a result of an increase in revenue from BarCards and Corporate Sponsorship, and a more stringent approach to expenses.

The Secretary portfolio had a successful year this year. With a new approach to organising meetings we were able to have a meeting on average every fortnight. Meetings were predetermined at the start of the year so all committee members knew when the meeting was ahead of time.
