October is Halloween Hoopla at Deerfield Park District

Kids will be wearing their Halloween costumes as they participate in this annual event. Community residents are encourage to come and partake in this free Halloween festivities with a hay ride, inflatable jumpers, puppet shows and the comedic balloon twisting of Magical Balloon-dude Dale and his twisted associates twisting the coolest Halloween balloon animals. The event is to bring awareness to heart problems in the United States and to show solidarity among the community to look for cures and ways to improve heart problems. Thu, 4 Sep 2008 23:19:36 -0500Orland Hills, IL, September 4 2008 -- The Village of Deerfield, will be celebrating Community Services Day - Saturday, September 6, 2007 - noon to 4:00 p.m. at Brickyards Park (Kates & Pfingsten) / Patty Turner Senior Center. (375 Elm). To help celebrate this event they have hired Magical Balloon-dude Dale to provide roving balloon entertainment at this year’s event. This will be the fifth year that Dale has worked with the Village of Deerfield in providing roving balloon entertainment. Dale will be entertaining Village residents from noon to 4 p.m. with his comedic balloon twisting.
The Deerfield Park District is working with Bannockburn and Riverwoods Fire Protection District, Local Police departments, the Village of Deerfield and the DBR Chamber of Commerce to organize, presents, and hosts this family event.
Community Service Day will showcase local governmental agencies and clubs, along with the services they provide, to the citizens of the community. This year demonstrations are by: Deerfield Police Dogs Demo, Operation Lifesaver (railroad safety), Child I.D. (fingerprinting), Passenger/Child Safety Seat Checkpoint along with Flight for Life Helicopter, Residential Sprinkler Trailer, Kids/Fire fighter Challenge Event, Operation 100 Smoke Alarm program, Auto Extrication Demo, County Special Response/Rescue Teams and other community activity.
