  Cirrocumulus clouds was seen over Tai Mo Shan. The above photo was taken at 06:23 a.m. on 30 October 2008.
  
  Tai Mo Shan (大帽山) literally meaning "Big Hat Mountain" has the highest peak in Hong Kong, with an altitude of 958 m. It is located approximately at the geographical centre of the New Territories.

  Cirrocumulus clouds (卷積雲) are high-altitude cloud, usually occurring at 16, 000-40, 000 feet. Like other cumulus clouds, cirrocumulus clouds signify convection. Unlike other cirrus clouds, cirrocumulus include liquid water droplets, although these are in a supercooled state. Ice crystals are also present, and typically, the ice crystals cause the supercooled water drops in the cloud to rapidly freeze, transforming the cirrocumulus into cirrostratus. This process can also produce precipitation in the form of a virga consisting of ice or snow. Thus cirrocumulus clouds are usually short-lived.

  HONG KONG - 27 Oct., 2008 - The franchisee of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is going into liquidation after starting business since 8 August, 2008 in Hong Kong.
  
  Hong Kong’s first Krispy Kreme store opens in August in Lee Gardens, Causeway Bay, to be quickly followed by others in key locations of Tsim Sha Tsui and Soho.
  
  5 of the 7 Hong Kong stores closed last night, with the two outlets at the airport to remain open when the last doughnut sold out.

  HONG KONG - 17 Oct., 2008 - Hong Kong's stock market dropped amid the worsening global financial turmoil. It is the lowest point in almost three years.
  
  The blue-chip Hang Seng Index has trimmed its losses to close down 4.8 percent. The Hang Seng Index shed 767 points to 15, 230.
  
  The Hang Seng Index (abbreviated: HSI, 恒生指數) is a freefloat-adjusted market capitalization-weighted stock market index in Hong Kong. It is used to record and monitor daily changes of the largest companies of the Hong Kong stock market and is the main indicator of the overall market performance in Hong Kong. These 45 companies represent about 67% of capitalization of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

• U-right International Liquidation

  HONG KONG - 9 Oct., 2008 - Hong Kong Listed Company U-Right International (佑威服裝) could not meet written demands for repayment of HK$850 million in loans from banks and other financial institutions. It was applied for liquidation.
  
  The company has 95 stores in Hong Kong and another 516 on the mainland. However, this might be the reason of its collapse. Deloitte pointed out that U-Right invested too much on the mainland, causing it to have run out of cash.
  
  U-Right, which was listed on Hong Kong's main board in 2000, saw its share price plummet almost 70 percent over the past month and trading in its shares was suspended on 17 Sept., 2008 when the share price was recorded at 1.4 HK cents apiece.
  
  U-Right is the third listed retailer in Hong Kong to collapse amid the global financial turmoil.

  I usually use web cleaning method by Sensor Swab Digital Imaging Sensor Cleaner from Photographic Solution to remove dust from my DSLR sensors. However it is expensive and the sweep swab cannot reusable.
  
  Recently, my friend bought me the Pentax Imagesensor Cleaning Kit O-ICK1 from Yodobashi, Japan. The package include a cleaning stick which have a polyurethane rubber stamp and cleaning sheet to remove dust and oils from the stamp between use.

  HONG KONG : 23 Sept., 2008 - The Hong Kong Observatory has issued the Number 8 storm signal as Typhoon Hagupit (颱風 黑格比) bears down on Hong Kong. This means that winds with mean speeds of 63 kilometres per hour or more are expected from the northeast quarter. At 7 P.M., Typhoon Hagupit was centred about 200 kilometres south of Hong Kong (near 20.5 degrees north 114.5 degrees east) and is forecast to move west or west-northwest at about 28 kilometres per hour heading towards the western coast of Guangdong. Hagupit's outer rainbands are already affecting Hong Kong. Gale force winds are generally blowing over offshore waters and on high ground. Owing to the combined effect of Hagupit and high tide, flooding is expected overnight in low lying areas including Sheung Wan. According to Hagupit's present track, it is expected that the no.8 gale or storm signal will remain in force overnight.

  HONG KONG : 23 Sept., 2008 - The No. 3 Strong Wind Signal was issued at 10:25 a.m. This means that winds with mean speeds of 41 to 62 kilometres per hour are expected. Typhoon Hagupit ((颱風 黑格比) was estimated to be about 240 kilometres south-southeast of Hong Kong (near 20.4 degrees north 115.3 degrees east) and is forecast to move west or west-northwest at about 28 kilometres per hour edging closer to the south China coast. According to Hagupit's present track, the observatory will consider issuing the no.8 gale before 6 pm. this evening. Gales are already affecting high ground in Hong Kong.

  HONG KONG - 7 Sept., 2008 - Hong Kong Legislative Council Election 2008 (香港特別行政區第四屆立法會選舉) was held on 7 September 2008. The election is for the fourth term of the Legislative Council, after the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.   HONG KONG : 22 Aug., 2008 - The Increasing Gale or Storm Signal, No. 9, was issued at 1:40 pm by the Hong Kong Observatory.
  
  This means that winds are expected to increase significantly as Nuri moves closer to Hong Kong.
  
  At 2 p.m., Typhoon Nuri was centred about 40 kilometres east-southeast of Hong Kong Observatory (near 22.1 degrees north 114.5 degrees east) and is forecast to move northwest at about 14 kilometres per hour towards Hong Kong.

  HONG KONG : 22 Aug., 2008 - The No. 8 Northwest Gale or Storm Signal was issued at 7:40 a.m. This means that winds with mean speeds of 63 kilometres per hour or more are expected from the northwest quarter.
  
  At 8 a.m., Typhoon Nuri was centred about 160 kilometres southeast of Hong Kong (near 21.4 degrees north 115.4 degrees east) and is forecast to move northwest or west-northwest at about 14 kilometres per hour towards the Pearl River Estuary.
  
  According to the present forecast track, Nuri will be rather close to Hong Kong this afternoon and tonight with a chance of direct hit. The Gale or Storm Signal No. 8 will be in force for most of the day.
