Hi!
I really want to share how we can be friends with our skin.Our skin answers to what ever we do.Its the only organ which shows results to all our activities.
You try for yourself that when we are in stress our skin becomes dull and when we are happy we have a glow.The inner feel makes a great impact on skin.
Why do expecting mothers glow?Not because their baby is making them glow but the feel of becoming a mother the happiness makes them glow.If u are happy you need not go to parlours for great skin.
You exercise and your body becomes active.Blood circulation improves and you will see that for the first few days your skin will be more prominent with scars or marks or pimples you have cause the skin is still in process of eliminating the toxins.Wash yourself regularly so that one removes those toxins that are released.After few weeks you will see the difference yourself.
Besides one should keep skin clean by washing it regularly and for sensitive skin a big advice ----- Avoid parlours and facials there as your skin only needs your touch and your natural packs. One can prepare inexpensive packs at home which are a great nutrient to the skin.
Here are few listed below which can be really useful for all skin types:
Cleanse your face atleast once a week by following this regime:
- Wash your face
- Apply a scrub.It can be homemade (either oatmeal mixed with curd ) or ones available in market.
- After scrubbing steam your face.
- Then remove blackheads.
- Apply a face pack.
This regime cleans your face and helps in preventing occurence of pimples.

- Apply curd mixed with fullers earth on the skin to make the skin clear and glowing.
- Tomato juice mixed with honey acts as an astringent and clears your skin.
- For a natural scrubber mix gram flour with milk and turmeric .Allow it to dry then rinse off by rubbing it in circular motion.
- If you suffer from acne sit in sun for some time as it helps killing the bacterias.
- For a freckled skin applying of curd and lemon juice helps as they are natural bleaching agents.Eat as much food containing vitamin C and avoid sun.
- To avoid bad body odour have alum mixed in water or tomato juice.See your body fresh and odour free.

- For spots on the face apply boric acid mixed with lime juice to fade the spots.
- For puffiness in eyes tie potato slice in cloth and place it in on your eyes .

Acne is one of the problems that disturb all ages.Not necessarily it will come with age , instead it is found in all group of ages.Adult acne, teenage acne in short acne are disturbing.The best cure to this problem starts with your diet.As i say what you eat shows on your skin.
Maintaining a healthy diet and an exercise routine is a must and the difference is automatically seen.Exercise improves circulation and brings glow to your face.
Initially you will feel that your face has started showing more scars but that is an indication that your skin is taking out toxins.You wash your face regularly and after a couple of days you will see the difference!Diet is a crucial element in curing acne.
Avoid starch, have as much fluids as possible so that your system clears , drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water and eat as much as fresh fruits, juices , avoid packed food available in market, avoid junk food, cut down on coffee intake.These things you might have read everywhere but here I am someone who have been benefitted by all this and it has seriously changed my life too!

- Apply fullers earth with curd .This paste is a best healer.
- Take one teaspoon of black pepper to which add sandalwood powder and mint leaves.Apply it for 10-15 min .Then wash with cold water.Helps fight infection.
- Mixture of groundnut oil and lime juice makes skin clear and moisturizes also.Carrot juice applied daily fades scars.
- Take cucmber juice , add aloe-vera gel and few drops of lime .Excellent tonic to cure acne and make skin glowing.
- Garlic applied to skin fights infection of acne and does not produce spots.Eating them also purifies blood.
- A paste made of fenugreek leaves applied on face alternatively removes scars and helps preventing acne.
- Dab tree oil or lavendar oil for persisting pimples.This will not clog your pores and will not make your skin dry.
- Turmeric mixed with sugarcane juice helps curing acne.
- Mixture of saffron and honey fades away the scars.
- If a pimple bursts out before an ocassion apply chalk powder or toothpaste on it to soothen its effects.
- Take baking soda not powder and mix with water.When the mixture dries out wash it and see the change.

To deal with them apply:
- Apply amla paste on the scalp every alternate day.
- Massage lemon juice with almond oil to promote healthy hair.

Dandruff are white flakes on scalp which can be treated with simple products.
- Always keep your hair clean and moisture free.

A home made skin pack is useful and beneficial than one sitting at parlour.There are various facepacks as per the needs of the skin and type of the skin.You can pick few from here depending on the ingredients suiting your skin.
Tip: First wash with warm water and then cold water the mask and apply a moisturizer depending on the skin type.
All masks listed below are suitable for normal skin.
TOMATO-LEMON MASK (oily skin)
- 1 ripe tomato
- dry lemon skin
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Grate the lemon skin which is dried and mix all the other ingredients and apply.Wash after 20 min .Ideal for oily skin.
YEAST-YOGHURT MASK(oily skin , dry skin)
- 1 tbspn brewer's yeast
- 1 tbspoon hung curd
Make a thick paste of the mixture and apply for 10 min.suitable for oily skin.
HONEY-LEMON MASK(oily skin)
- 1 tbspn honey
- 1tbspn lemon1 teaspoon curd
- 1 pinch turmeric1 teaspoon lemon juice
Apply the mixture after mixing and see the glow and the blemishes fade-away.
CHOCOLATE MASK(dry skin)
- 1 tbspn cocoa powder or melted chocolate
- 1 tbspn creme
- 1 tbspn oatmeal
- 1 tbspn honey
Apply the mixture on the skin and wash away after half an hour.It is best for dry to normal skin.
EGG-CORNFLOUR MASK ( all skin types)
- 1 egg white
- 1teaspoon cournflour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
Apply on the face the mixture and see your blemishes fade away.
VINEGAR-HONEY MASK (oily skin, dry skin)
- 1 tbspoon of vinegar
- 1 tbspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon cucumber juice
- pinch of salt
Apply on the skin to tone it.
CITRUS MASK(oily skin, dry skin)
- dry orange skin
- dry lemon skin
- potato juice
- fuller's earth
- honey
Mix all the ingredients together in a mixed form and apply on the skin.See your skin glowing and clean.
PEEL-OFF MASK(all skin types)
- 1 egg-white
- 1tbspoon sugar
- 1/2 tbspoon corn flour
- Mix them all until it forms in thick paste .Then apply it in outward direction in.After it dries gently peel it .This pack retardes hair growth and makes skin blemish free.
PUMPKIN-EGG MASK(dry skin, oily skin)
- Slice of pumpkin
- Egg yolk
- Milk(for oily skin add curd water )
Mix the contents and spread on the face evenly for a glowing skin.
PAPAYA-HONEY MASK(oily skin, dry skin)
- 1 piece riped papaya
- 1/2 teaspoon honey
- 1tspn milk cream(for oily skin add curd or rosewater)
Mix all these ingredients and make a paste.Apply it for 20 min.
ANTISEPTIC MASK(apt for oliy skin )
- 2 tbspn fuller's earth
- 2 tbspn sandalwood powder
- 2 drops of garlic juice
- 1 egg -white
- rosewater
Mix and apply on the skin .This mask is excellent for acne, blemishes and promotes clear skin.
STRAWBERRY-Cool MASK(oily skin)
- mashed strawberry
- 1tbspn honey
- 1-2 drops tea tree oil
Spread on face and wash after 20 min.Ideal for problem skin.
CARROT MASK(oily skin)
Boil three carrots and mash them.Then add honey and yoghurt and apply for 15-20 minutes.

What I feel is the worst enemy of hair is artificial products like conditioners , sprays, gels etc.These can be substituted with home-made products which will actually bring health to your hair.Here I am writing home-made conditioners for you and hope that it will help you.The products are all from kitchen and no artificial strong ingrediants.
Mayo-conditioner
- 1 jar of may0nnaise
- 1 avacado
Mix them properly and apply on hair.For deep conditioning cover your hair with hot towel and keep it for >25 min.
Vinclerine-conditioner
- 1tspn castor oil
- 1tspn malt vinegar
- 1tspn glycerine
Mix all of them and apply on hair .Leave for 20 min and see the effects!
Henna Oily-Dry conditioner
Mix them properly to make a paste and apply .When dry wash them.Ideal for oily hair and for dry hair apply milk instead of yoghurt.
Rosemary-conditioner
- rosemary essential oil
- olive oil
- honey
Apply on damp hair and cover them by hot towel.
Egg-conditioner
- 1 tspn baby oil
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 cup water
Beat the egg yolk till it becomes frothy.Then mix warm baby oil and water to improve consistency.Apply on hair and wash to see the shine!
Oil-conditioner
- 1tbspn whaetgerm oil
- 1tbspn sunflower oil
- lemon juice
Warm the mixture and add lemon juive and apply.Also helpful in dandruff problem.
Fruit-conditioner
- 1/2 mashed banana
- 1/2 avocado
- 1tspn yoghurt
- 1 tspn honey
Mix all of it well adn apply and you will swear for the benefits!
Protein - conditioner
- 1 tbspn yoghurt
- 1 egg
- honey
Mix till foamy and apply.
Rinse-conditioner
- Washing hair with beer is an excellent conditioner.
- Rinsing with diluted vinegar(mixed in water) is a great conditioner.

Blackheads are caused by overactive sebaceous glands.they are more prominent with oily skin.They are open codemones and are formed when the pores of the skin are clogged.
Never try to pull the out with a plucker or rub them violently with a cloth or apply any wax strips or tape cause these things can lead to scars and blemishes and large sized open pores.
- The best way to loosen them is to keep your skin clean and steam your face.Steaming loosens their hold on the skin and then apply a scrubber on the skin followed by a face pack to close the pores.
- Apply undiluted lemon juice on the blackheads twice a day.
- 1tbspn dead sea salt 2tbspn baking soda and water.Apply this on the skin and then rub gently to remove it.
- Mix groundnut oil with lemon juice to prevent occurrence of blackheads.
- Rub bitter-gourd on the skin to peel them forever.
- Scrub of salt, honey and lemon juice is beneficial.
- Neem laves and turmeric paste applied is useful.
- Paste made of water and radish seeds are helpful.
- Paste of vinegar and corn-starch applied and washed gently.
- Fenugreek leaves are a great anti-blackheads herbs.Apply on skin by making paste with water.
- Warm honey to be applied on the affected area.
- Grind a potato and apply the juice.
- Fuller's earth applied with yoghurt is an excellent healer.
- Almond powder and rose water applied is useful.

Wrinkles are not connected with old age but with the lifestyle and eating habits of a person too!
Out in sun during peak hours that is 12 noon till 3:00 pm, drinking alchol daily, smoking, stress, not maintaining a healthy care regime for skin, lack of exercise, lack of fluid intake all constitutes to occurence of wrinkles.
Oily skin is blessed with late occurence of wrinkles but all skin types can be wrinkle free by following healthy diet and taking care of the skin.
Below are the home treatments to fight them away.
Tip:Always drink warm water and see your skin never wrinkling.
- Make your own anti-wrinkle cream with 1 tea spoon oil and two teaspoon of rosewater.Massage it gently and keep overnight.
- Take 1tblespoon of cold milk and add few drops of lemon into it.Apply overnight and wash and dry with towel next morning.It will also help improve complexion.
- After bathing use moisturizer or body creme in damp body or while bathing add drops of olive oil in water.
- To make a creme anti-wrinkle add vitamin E capsule in any cold creme and apply daily.
- Make a paste of 1 teaspoon milk creme , glycerine, rosewater and turmeric powder. Apply on skin for 20 min.
- Apply mashed banana with milk and see the lines fade away!
- Cold water is effective intreating skin with wrinkles.do not wipe face instead pat dry with hands so that some water seeps into the skin.
- Aloe-Vera juice applied with addition of rosewater is a wonder anti-wrinkle creme.
- Tomato pulp with milk or vegetable oil is great anti-wrinkle creme.
- Fresh cucumber juice , radish juice and glycerine can be applied overnite .
- Dry milk added with water and glycerine is a good tonic for wrinklrs.
- Always apply moisturizer on the skin after cleansing or washing your face.
- Olive oil mixed with honey is a anti-wrinkle treatment.
- For wrinkled skin a good face wash is one fresh lime juice added to boiled milk with glycerine.

Sugar-Oat Scrub
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup almond oil/olive oil
- 2 tbspn oatmeal
- 1 tspn nutmeg
Mix the contents and store in air-tight jar.Apply once a week .This scrub is combined with moisturizing effects too!
Flour-Soda Scrub
- 1 tbspn baking soda
- 2 tbspn gram flour
Mix the contents with appropriate water to make a thick paste and apply on skin .Wash with cold water followed by moisturising lotion.
Sweet-Citrus Scrub
- 2tbspn white sugar
- 2 tbspn orange juice
- 1tbspn mango pulp/grape juice
- 1/2 tbspn coconut oil
Mix the contents and apply on skin gently in circular motion.After drying rinse off and see the change!
Citrus -Grain scrub
- Dried lemon skin
- Dried orange skin
- Gram flour
- Dry almond
Mix the ingredients in a blender and keep in an air-tight container.When use mix with curd or milk if skin is dry and exfoliate.
Almond-Oatmeal Scrub
- 2/3 cup almonds
- 1 tbspn oatmeal
- plain yoghurt
Mix them in a processor aand add curd to make the consistency thick .Apply on skin.Ideal for acne-prone skin.
Coffee Body Scrub
- 1 cup coffee
- 1 tbspn olive oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
Apply them on clean body to open and clean the pores. Then take warm bath and apply body lotion after it.
Basil-Sandalwood Scrub
- 2 tbspn oat flour
- 1 tbspn sandalwood powder
- dried rose petals
- 1 tbspn basil leaves
Mix well and apply in circular movements.Perfect for oily skin.
Rice Flour- Aloe vera Scrub
- 1 tbspn rice flour
- 2 tbspn Aloe-vera juice
- dried grated orange skin
- milk
Apply mixing well on skin .this mask is mild and can be used twice a week.
Mango-Milk scrub
- Dry mango skin
- 1tspn milk-powder
Mix the contents with water to make thick consistency and apply on the skin , rubbing gently and check the effects!
Walnut-Honey scrub
- Dry walnut powder
- Honey
- Lemon-juice
- Rosewater
Make a scrub by mixing all of these and apply on skin to remove dead cells and bring moisture.
Pea-Face Scrub
- 3 tbspn pea powder
- 2 tbspn rosewater
- 1/2 tbspn lime juice
Soak the pea powder in the rosewater for some time.Then add lime juice and blend it in the blender and apply in circulation.It will take out the dead skin and absorb oil from skin.

- Shampooing:Nobody can tell the no.of times one need to shampoo.It depends on your routine, texture of your hair and when your hair feels dirty.The point is that one should keep hair clean.The type of shampoo should depend on the hair type .When one changes the shampoo the adaptability is known after 3 washes.
- Rinsing:Best way to rinse your hair is with vinegar or lemon juice diluted with water.This eliminates the need of using a conditioner as well as brings bounce to hair.
Washing:Your hair should always be washed in mild warm water.Washing in hot water makes them dry and grey.
- Drying:Always dry hair naturally and never use blow dryers until and unless it is urgent.Blow drying makes hair rough and dry.Never comb on wet hair and never tie wet or moist hair.This can lead to hair diseases.
Diet , age , stress, work activity and many other factors play an important roll on hair growth andtexture.So stay happy , exercise and release stress!
