The following article isn't nearly complete. I will flesh it out in the coming month.
For the past four years of my life, I've done everything within my power to battle substance abuse - amongst family, friends, and aquintances. And this is what I discovered - it's a battle that cannot be won. Why is this so?
Availability
Drugs are available everywhere. It cannot be eradicated, since either Law Enforcement's hands are tied up in red tape, or they are involved in some form or fashion.
Even if Law Enforcement could do their work, drugs would still be available, since many Law Enforcement Officers are often involved, virtually anyone can make and distribute these substances, and because ultimately many household products may serve as alternatives (for instance, "goldy locks" - the stuff you clean your pots with).
Law Enforcement
The Good. Many arrests are made. A lot of stolen goods are confiscated.
The Bad. Law Enforcement Officers often find their hands tied by red tape.
The Ugly. Many Law Enforcement Officers either use, or are involved in the manufacture and/or distribution of illicit substances. Dockets disappear from Police Stations. Evidence disappear from Storage. Innocent people get framed.
Parenting
Problem Children, Problem Parents. No, I'm not saying these parents necessarily approve. Nor, do I claim that they are bad parents. What I am saying is that, more often than not, they are the enablers. They don't correct their children. They provide the money. They buffet the authorities. They lie for their children. And, they believe every bullshit story they are told.
I have NEVER met any addict, who's parents weren't guilty of at least one of the above.
The Educational System
Schools don't want to get involved. The reason? Problem Parents unreservedly sue Principals and Schools for classifying their kid as an addict.

Social Upliftment Efforts
Financial Shortfall. Personal Agendas.
So there it is. At least now you know why your children are dying, your daughters are being raped, and your society collapsing. May God help us.
Shareapic allows members to upload unlimited pictures with no file size restrictions. They also allow you to add your Bidvertiser code to image galleries. Shareapic pays $0.22 per 1000 pic views (more than some major ad networks pay their publishers!). They also allow one-click posting to Blogger, Hi5, MySpace, and Xanga.
I assist both, individuals and companies, in setting up self-updateable, customized web logs for FREE. * See my portfolio.
FEATURES
Disqus Commenting & Moderation System
Disqus, pronounced "discuss", is a service and tool for managing web comments and discussions. The Disqus Commenting System can be plugged into any website, blog, or application, making commenting easier and more interactive, while connecting websites and commenters across a thriving community. Disqus is a free service to the general public with absolutely no inline advertisements. A premium service for large-scale websites is in the works but is not yet available.
Syndication Feed
The typical scenario for using web feeds, would be when a content provider publishes a feed link on their site which end users can register with an aggregator program (also called a feed reader or a news reader) running on their own machines; doing this is usually as simple as dragging the link from the web browser to the aggregator. When instructed, the aggregator asks all the servers in its feed list if they have new content; if so, the aggregator either makes a note of the new content or downloads it. Aggregators can be scheduled to check for new content periodically. Web feeds are an example of pull technology, although they may appear to push content to the user.

Apart from being installable on Blogs, these widgets can also be installed on various social networks like Bebo and Facebook, as well as those who form part of the OpenSocial Initiative: Hi5, iGoogle, MySpace, Netlog and Orkut.
They even provide a "badge", like the one below, to promote the new widget.
As a webmaster I am ALWAYS in need of good quality (or at least upgradeable) templates for Blogger. So here, in alphabetical order, is a list of what I found:
I am sure many of you ran into the following error-codes - BX-IGWYLP, BX-MRKFXFETC or BX-XYKW2L - while attempting to install custom XML Blogger templates. So I recently set up a Sandbox to resolve this issue, once and for all. After installing more than 300 custom templates, this is what I found:
Most of the time, the problem is not with the new template, but with the current template. Let me explain.
Every time you attempt to install a new template, the template manager will ask you to CONFIRM whether particular widgets relating to your previous template should be deleted.
Widgets from the above-example, include Followers1, HTML3, HTML2 and AdSense1. This is correct, and installation should be flawless. However, from time to time you will notice the following:
Widgets from the above-example, include HTML1, HTML2, HTML3, HTML4, and another HTML2, HTML3, and HTML4. This is wrong, and the installation will fail.
It seems like some template developers manage to get their wires cross, duplicating widgets. Templates that cause this problem include the following:
I will see what I can do to fix these issues, and forward the updated templates to their respective authors.
Solution
1. Go to the LAYOUT TAB and select PAGE ELEMENTS.
2. Now EDIT and REMOVE every page element one by one.
3. Click on the POSTING TAB.
4. Go back to the LAYOUT TAB and select EDIT HTML.
5. Now attempt your installation.

In conclusion, if you're still struggling, here's my offer. You are free to contact me for assistance, but in return I require a backlink to my site and that of SohoISP. For example:
As I scour the Internet, I often spot the absence of certain features from various web- and software applications. So here's my list of requests. Who knows, maybe it leads to something.
Google Chrome
- Google Toolbar Integration, for quick access to Gmail, Docs, Reader, Notebook, Analytics, Picasa Web Albums and Blogger; or
- Google Account Integration, for quick access to my Google Account and all the services attached to it.
- Taskbar Icon, for when minimized.
Google Docs
SEPARATING "FOLDERS" AND "TAGS" (which, currently, is esentially one and the same)
EXPLANATION: This would allow Google Docs users to sort Blogger Posts into Topical Folders, while publishing them under their applicable Labels.
The ability to AUTOMATICALLY REPUBLISH WHEN CHANGES ARE MADE, not only for public Websites, but also Blogger, Knol, and Facebook Notes (to begin with).
EXPLANATION: This would facilitate easy publication from Google Docs too various Blogs, Social Networks and Publishers.
Customizable GOOGLE DOCS HOMPAGE for those who wish to share documents publicly.
EXPLANATION: This would streamline document sharing, providing one universal address (something like http://www.google.com/s2/profiles/108478837832377726565) for shared documents. An RSS Feed, for tracking documents, would also be very helpful. This could also nicely integrated with Google's OpenSocial Initiative.
The ability to EMBED DOCUMENTS IN WEBSITES without using iframes, or linking to them.
EXPLANATION: This would again streamline document sharing. This would allow companies to embed a standard price list on various sites (as they might pertain to a particular branch), yet maintain them from one location (within Google Docs). This would also allow webmasters to embed remotely-editable 'text blocks' within sites.
Blogger / Blogspot
The ability to grant ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS TO A PARTICULAR POST TO A PARTICULAR CONTRIBUTOR - either by Grant or Adoption.
EXPLANATION: As Administrator, I often configure free custom blogger accounts for clients - who serve as Contributors to their own blogs. However, posts by me (as the Administrator) remain uneditable to Contributors, unless I explicitly Grant them full Administrator rights - which I am reluctant to do for a number of reasons. Let's imagine, for instance, I set up a free public directory service. To get it going I might fill the directory with a number of posts. However, in due time, the "owner" of that post might want to edit or update his or her own listing. Currently, you'd have to republish the Post while logged into their account (read, "privacy and security concerns").
That's all I could remember for now, so check back later for the complete list.
I'm constantly setting up FREE self-publishing web logs for businesses and individuals, alike. While most bloggers know exactly what they want to do with their site, some lack the imagination. It is to this latter group, that this article is addressed - "I have a blog now what?"
What you do with your blog is, of course, by and large tied to its nature and intent. In other words, personal blogs will be used for personal interests, while business blogs will focus on your business, its products and its services. Whatever the case may be, you might find the following inspiring.
CONTENT SUGGESTIONS
There is a saying amongst Internet Professionals, that "Content Is King"(1) but "Linking Is Queen".
Basically, "Content Is King" means that "written text in plain vanilla HTML or a variant that produces good clean text can be indexed with ease by a search engines"(1) So, if you have published articles, you are being indexed for each and every one.
"Linking Is Queen" refers to backlinks, in other words, the amount of sites linking back to yours determine your position in search engines like Google. Now we are in a unique position. Firstly, every blog added to our network (about 5 a week) interlinks with those already on the network. Secondly, every blog on our network were added to 112 search engines to start with, 12 prominent directories, and integrated with 36 social networking platforms.
Photos
Whether a personal or a business blog - people just love photos - so post them. They'll have a look, forward them to eachother, and maybe even comment on them.
Apart from allowing you to introduce yourself, your staff, travels, events and products - it will also generate a steady stream of web traffic to your web site, and what you have to offer.
Recipies
Have a personal blog? Then post those 'secret' family recipies. That way the rest of your family, and maybe even some strangers, can also enjoy the fruit of your labor.
Price Lists
Manage a business blog? Then add a price list - that way you will have less phone calls and quotes to manage, an online backup of your current price list, and less time waste on fruitless enquiries.
Contact Information
All of the above is pointless without providing contact information.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q. Do we have to be online while blogging? A. No, you can type your articles while offline (in Word or Notepad), then simply copy-paste the content when online and add whatever graphics you wish.
Inspired already? Then head on over to Blogger and publish.
