As the sun rapidly sets on Summer 2008, what better time to reflect. Not so much on what has occured these past three months but on what Summer represents.
Now maybe it's just because I'm in southern California but I like to think of Summer as more of a state of mind than just a time of year. My hope is that, after listening to this episode, you will too.
WAR UNDER THE NOISE
XTC THE WHO
JUDAS PRIEST ROBERT PLANT
THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE SONIC YOUTH
These are but a few of the bands who will have you, and keep you, in a Summer state of mind.
As usual, we at The Kitchen Sink have included some surprises that we think you'll enjoy. Always bawdy...always rocking! An internet experience like no other!
Your comments are always welcome. Thanks for stopping by and having a listen.

The Kitchen Sink presents, in the spirit of Mr. George Carlin, a raunchy, bawdy and, really, very funny episode for your listening pleasure.
If this isn't one of the most musically suggestive shows you've ever listened to...well then I worry about you.
Our belated 4th of July episode celebrating America and, above all things, her independent spirit...with lots of songs about SEX...all sorts of fun, naughty and kinky sex. It's perfect for the internet!!
Desperation Squad (www.desperationsquad.com)
Frank Zappa Tim Curry Liz Phair Parliament
The Rolling Stones The Pandoras The Pretenders Soundgarden Lene Lovich Bob Seger
The late, great George Carlin
...and the ever popular much, much more.
While not as bad as you're probably thinking...this show is explicit and not for kids, hell, it may not be for some adults. So if you dare...

Spring has sprung in southern California and along with the usual blooming of the flowers comes reason for celebration as we not only shed our winter coat but pause for just a moment of self-indulgence as THE KITCHEN SINK TURNS TWO YEARS OLD!
We've decided to dig deep and come up with our own sort of "spring cleaning" to mark the occasion. So put on your party hats, pop the top of a cold one, break out the mop and bucket and get ready to scrub hard because by the time this episode is over you'll be feeling more than a little bit dirty.

On March 20th, the war in Iraq turns five years old and we hear at The Kitchen Sink would like to extend an offer to log on and have a listen to classics from the good ol' days.
Yep, this trip down memory lane will either have you sending me viruses or doubled over in laughter as you relive some of these Iraq War gems.
Look, I'm just the messenger. Don't be mad at me. I just put the show together. It's not personal...it's strictly business. If you can get past the first six minutes without calling me names, or loading your pistol, then I think you'll enjoy the show.
If not, well, then you can visit me on my farm just
north of Amish country and we can settle it like men.
Keep 'em cold.
