Recovery 101 ~ Recovery Bytes! is a program based loosely on 12 step recovery programs. The format is less like a meeting and more like going to coffee afterward. This episode we join Bruce, Lee, James, and special guest Shelly as they broadcast from Las Encinas Hospital, Bruce's recovery at Las Encinas, meetings and how Bruce didn't do what he needed to do to stay sober and James' rather lengthy questioning to get back around to that original statement, Bruce wants to get others involved in the convo, Shellys relapse by drinking an entire bottle of vodka in one slam!...er...um....an airline bottle! That's HARDCORE!, Bruce picks up James of a front lawn on a 12 step call 18 1/2 years ago, Lee relapsed after 10 years and how that happened, Then Lee relapsed after 3 years...he blew a .4 and when he was released from the hospital he was still a .1, Lee did it right...2 hospitals... 6 1/2 pints in a few hours... then a hotel, then Las Encinas, Bruce and Roger save Lee from almost certain destruction, the boys decide to keep Lee as the shows resident newcomer believing that you don't lose program from relapse...you simply don't use it when you need to, James' opinion on going to meetings...eh! Who needs em?...they wont keep you sober...but you should do lots of them, Lee quits taking his meds...did that help his road to relapse?, Ya Think?, Bruce says DON"T STOP TAKING YOUR DAMN MEDS!, Las Encinas Hospital ROCKS!, At 27 minutes we finally got back to Bruce's original statement about relapse and how James says it's exactly right, self will run riot on med taking, The 12stepmusicfest.com, the lead out music by Clarissa Pinske...And Of Course All The Other Insanity You've Come To Expect!
