The series is a teen drama based on the novel series of the same name which follows the lives of young, wealthy socialites residing in Upper East Side, Manhattan. It is narrated by an unseen character, "Gossip Girl, " whose blog is widely read among the characters. A total of 22 episodes were ordered by The CW. However due to the Writers' Strike only 13 episodes have been produced. Now that the strike has ended, The CW has announced 5 more episodes to be produced and aired in April. Michael Chiklis has top billing with his portrayal of Strike Team leader Vic Mackey. The show has an ensemble cast that will normally run a number of separate story lines through each episode. The show follows the adventures of a team of profilers from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) at Quantico, Virginia. Criminal Minds differs from many criminal system procedural dramas by focusing on the criminal rather than the crime itself. The series' third season, which premiered on September 26, 2007, was interrupted in late 2007 by the industry-wide writer's strike . It aired its last pre-strike episode on January 23, 2008. Following the resolution of the strike, the show returned to air on April 2, 2008 and is slated to broadcast seven episodes for the remainder of the season. The show centers around a boy named Kyle (Matt Dallas), who wakes up in the forest outside of Seattle, Washington with no memory of his life up until that point. The series follows Kyle as he tries to understand the mysteries of who he is or why he has no memory of being a child. He is sometimes shown with his shirt partially off and no belly button can be seen. The show premiered June 26, 2006 on the ABC Family network; episodes are also broadcast on ABC. Sam dropped out of college ("It made him sleepy", Sock explains) and takes a dead-end job at the 'Work Bench', a home-repair superstore similar to Home Depot (the pilot was filmed at a Canadian Tire in Burnaby, BC).
