New feature online
Fri, 15 Aug 2008 18:40:00 +0200As of today, 15th of August 2008, all user and visitors using Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 (or later) can add three search tools to their browser.
The three search tools are :
- Megamind Pages Search (searches all pages on the website)
- Megamind Events Search (searches all events on the website)
- Megamind News Search (searches all front-page news on the website)
How to use and install :
1. Browse your way on to www.megamind.se
2. In your navigation field (see image below) you will find all three search tools available for install or use. You can delete them at any time and also add any of them as you please.
3. Once you've installed the web-browser plug-in you can start using it.

Welcome to the new Megamind
Tue, 12 Aug 2008 17:46:00 +0200Welcome to the new and slightly improved Megamind website. Today it's the day of the final release of the new design and interface for you as a member or visitor and also for use managing the website.
Changes that have been made :
- New design with the option to set what colour scheme you like during your visit
- Improved Track of the day with release images. Now only viewable on the front-page of the website
- New style to the menus
- New location for Members to login (bottom of the menu on the left)
- Easier bookmarking capabilities (top right under the Colour Scheme switcher)
- A new cleaner look and less clutter on ever single page of the website
- Easier access to our RSS feeds (Under the menu on the left and they appear on every single page of the site)
- and much more
Changes that have not been made :
- No editorial changes or deletion
- No Members have been deleted or lost
- No changes have been made to any information currently online or before the update

The design is yet another step towards user customization and user interface easiness with tons of small, but useful features packed with items directed towards members and visitors alike.

Sun, 10 Aug 2008 21:20:00 +0200Yes, we've done it once again, we have re-done the whole website design. If all goes according to planned, it will be on-line on the 11th of August or at the very latest on the 12th of August.
The new design is taste of things to come on the website and it's part of the natural evolution of this website, that has been serving the public since late 2002 and still growing.
We hope all our regular browsers and newcomers love the new design. In the meantime, please check out some very cool interviews in the Interviews section of the website.New news section added
Thu, 19 Jun 2008 15:55:00 +0200Today, the 19th of June, we added a new sub-section to the News from the world section of our website. The new sub-section is called Label News and will feature release news from Labels, Artists and Recordcompanies.
This is one of a few new sub-sections that will be added to our website during the summer of 2008. The aim is to diversify and improve the overall experience while browsing the website and adding even more news and related items to the website.
As we now have completed step one we are moving towards the next step in the evolution of the Megamind website.The next step will be released in early July.

For those who never been to Sweden, Denmark, Norway or Finland during the summertime might just as well book a flight right now, because the Nordic summer is one of Europe's finest and it's packed with parties to go to.
In recent years we have seen an explosion of day clubs and events spring up in all major cities, like Helsinki, Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen and we are trying to add them all to our Event Calendar. Be sure to check out all our events and maybe you'll find something to your liking.

The look and feel of the journal pages will change somewhat, but still have the overall look and feel as the rest of the website.
All Megamind members can already today add 2.000 journal/blog entries, but we are upgrading all members accounts to 5.000 journal/blog entries as of today. Totally free.

The reason behind it all was a database update which went a little wrong, but it has now been fixed and is working at maximum speed again.

Sat, 02 Feb 2008 17:00:00 +0100The winner has been selected from the thousands of votes places in the Most Popular Nordic DJ 2007 awards and it was a battle of the Finnish DJ's in the Top 10.
For the third time the winner is Orkidea with a whooping 619 points with a 389 points lead over the the second place finisher Sasha F and 10 points behind Sasha F is Proteus with 220 points.
Orkidea won with the biggest margin to the second place finisher in the votes history and proves that he has a very solid following of dedicated fans. The reigning Most Popular Nordic DJ, Tim Andresen comes in on 5th place with a 147 points.
The highest place female DJ this year was the queen of the Top 10, DJ Anneli from Sweden and just outside the Top 10 you will find the second highest and also the newest entry on the list, Ida Engberg, she also from Sweden.

The winners will be announced on the 2nd of February 2008 here on the website. In the mean time we can bring you interesting facts about this years vote.
Fun facts :
- 300 blank or empty votes that will not be included in the standings
- 65 votes for rock, pop and metal band including Slipknot, One republic, Black rebel motorcycle club and The queens of the stone age
- 20 votes for DJ Tiësto (he is still not a Nordic born or based DJ...)
- 5 votes for DJ's from Germany including ATB, Blank and Jones and Sven Väth.
- 3 votes for DJ's from the United Kingdom including Mr. C, Erol Alkan and Lee Burridge
Besides these votes mentioned above we also have 43 non-complete vote that contains only one vote or two votes for one or two DJ's. These vote will not be counted as it states in the rules that you have to vote for 3 different DJ's, not one or two and leave one blank.

We will also during the upcoming months add some new features to the website (available for our members only) as well as adding loads of new events, charts, news, mixes and biographies.

In the end of January 2008 it time to see who will be the Most Popular Nordic DJ. The question remains who it will be, but you still have the chance to vote for anyone of your favourite Nordic DJ's until the 31st of January 2008.
